Darragh Genockey
Darragh Genockey is the current Entertainments Officer of Trinity College Students’ Union. To get to this position he had to wage an election campaign and approached me to design his website and other materials. Darragh is a great guy, so I happily obliged.
This was a single page “scrolling” site completed in a single evening, but which proved hugely popular. Campaigning of any kind is strictly forbidden in advance of these elections, so once the candidates had been announced on a Sunday evening I to get the site up for Monday. It was a 12 hour design challenge of sorts.
Knowing that much of the traffic would be bored stiff of “election speak” it’s most popular feature was the option to skip all the campaign material and smooth-scrol down to a game of old-school space invaders at the bottom of the page. The candidates campaign was based on how effectively he could entertain students the following year, so this was perfectly “on message”.
