Dublin Web Summit gets a new site
I had the pleasure of working with the team behind Dublin Web Summit on the recent relaunch of their website.

I recently handled the design for a new Irish fashion awards program – Ireland’s Most Influential in Fashion Awards. I’ve been very happy with the general response on what was a fun project. The feel was to be angular and aggressively “fashion-y” but then offset by a more organic feel.

Sometimes you just want to hug…
...a typeface!
Something I always try to explain to clients is that different typefaces evoke different emotional responses from people. This new release from Sudtipos , for example, is crying out to be hugged — it has a curvacious exuberance that is just so tactile.

If you can design one thing…

The image is from this year’s Art Directors Club “Festival of Fame” speaker series. It was designed by Pentagram’s Michael Bierut, a Hall of Fame inductee in 2003, and Joe Marianek, a winner of this year’s ADC Young Guns 8. See more here.
What is this?
From time to time I like to share my thoughts about design, links to good articles or projects and the work of other designers. I keep this journal to remind me of interesting things. Hopefully you will find it interesting too.
